Translation: DUET May 2012, d-SEARCH

Here's another translation! DUET Magazine's d-SEARCH in the May issue. Research question this time was about what our idols are called by their family members. It's mostly just their given name, but sometimes also a cute nickname. Some of them also gave a line or two of explanation as to who exactly calls them that or where the nickname comes from. So let me know if there's a name you find particularly  interesting and you want me to translate these few extra lines from if possible!

For example, Jesse explained it's his father who calls him "Jack", and there was this one fan who called him "Jick", but he points out that's wrong, it's "Jack"! XD

Did Daiki explain why was he calleds Boa???
Jackie: InooDaicometbender on November 20th, 2012 10:41 am (UTC)
This is what he said:

For my family it's "Daiki". When I was little, my grandma used to call me "Boya"(boy) and that changed to "Boa", so my cousins now call me "Boa". When BoA-san came to Japan, I thought "It's the same!" (laugh)

Re: Thanks for this!
Daiki explained it like this:

[For my family it's "Daiki". When I was little, my grandma used to call me "Boya"(boy) and that changed to "Boa", so my cousins now call me "Boa". When BoA-san came to Japan, I thought "It's the same!" (laugh)]

And yeah Uchi is just "Oi!" XD He said:

[Or something like "Ne". They don't call my name much. When I was in elementary school, it was "Hiroki".]

To be honest, I still don't get "Jack", even after Jesse "explained" it XD

Re: Thanks for this!
Thanks for explaining!

Hehe, Daiki must have been so happy that he iscalled "Boa", the same name of BoA!

Uchi has that kinda character na~

Jesse, ahm... I think because he has half-Japanese only? Am I right? And the common nicknames for a half-American boy is Jack? Don't know really~

Uchi: Oi! Haha XD
Thanks for sharing :)
